Aerospace Standards Part Qualification Program (ASPQP)

With a legacy of industry leadership dating back to WWI, the Aerospace Standards Part Qualification Program (ASPQP) sets technical standards and provides parts authentication and registration for aerospace companies worldwide. With a 13-member Technical Standards Committee (TSC) and a professional support staff under SAE Industry Technologies Consortia (SAE ITC®), ASPQP also aggregates data and shares information and analysis for the benefit of the entire aviation industry.

ASPQP has also been a leader in applying new technologies to the challenges of authenticating and registering the quality of aerospace components. It has put blockchain technology to work to record suppliers’ qualifications to manufacturer engine and airframe components to industry standards in the TS200 Database. This database serves as a model from which ASPQP will explore projects with the potential for dramatic industry benefits from having a secure record of parts across the entire aerospace supply chain and component lifecycle.

Stakeholders for ASPQP data include:

  • Regulatory agencies
  • Airlines and aircraft operators
  • Airframers and aircraft integrators
  • Original equipment manufacturers
  • Subassembly manufacturers
  • Distributors
  • Component and part suppliers
  • Industry review bodies
  • Auditors and registrars
  • MRO providers
  • Training providers
